I-13.3, r. 2.01 - Regulation respecting teaching licences

10. The following persons may be issued a probationary general education teaching permit:
(1)  the holder of a diploma listed in Schedule IV;
(2)  the holder of a teaching licence equivalent to a general education teaching diploma, issued in another Canadian province or territory, subject to training conditions;
(3)  the holder of a teaching licence equivalent to a general education teaching diploma, issued outside Canada on the basis of training equivalent to training leading to a diploma listed in Schedule I or IV; and
(4)  a person trained in general education teaching outside Canada who
(a)  holds a bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree or an equivalent diploma including at least 45 credits in the field of training and 21 credits in educational psychology training;
(b)  holds a bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree or an equivalent diploma including at least 45 credits in the field of training and 9 credits in educational psychology training and proves relevant teaching experience of at least 1 year; or
(c)  holds a university diploma in general education teaching or an equivalent diploma including at least 60 credits, 30 credits of which are in educational psychology training including one or more practicums.

10. The following persons may be issued a probationary general education teaching permit:
(1)  the holder of a diploma listed in Schedule IV;
(2)  the holder of a teaching licence equivalent to a general education teaching diploma, issued in another Canadian province or territory, subject to training conditions; and
(3)  the holder of a teaching licence equivalent to a general education teaching diploma, issued outside Canada on the basis of training equivalent to training leading to a diploma listed in Schedule I or IV.

10. The following persons may be issued a probationary general education teaching permit:
(1)  the holder of a diploma listed in Schedule IV;
(2)  the holder of a teaching licence for a level equivalent to preschool education or the elementary or secondary level, issued in another Canadian province or territory, subject to training conditions; and
(3)  the holder of a teaching licence for a level equivalent to preschool education or the elementary or secondary level, issued outside Canada on the basis of training equivalent to training leading to a diploma listed in Schedule I or IV.
